Music we are, and music we are always becoming, our heart a drum, our voice, thunder, the pulse of blood the river flowing in our inner world. Music we are; our life is timed by these rhythms. It is our song. Music is the stuff of spirit. Some music is audible to us, but all vibration is music, and much of it we cannot yet hear. Sound is a carrier wave for thoughts and intentions, that is why it plays so large a part in religion and ritual. Music and thoughts are substantial stuff. They can harmonize and unify with the music and thoughts of others; in this way we network in an endless field of relationships. Music is a healer. Sound vibrations move through us like a wash of colour, stimulating circulation, activating vital processes, releasing blocked energy, and helping to maintain a healthy tone. Music is the medicine of spirit. It empowers our lives to harmony. Our songs and music made with each other form a vine-like network: our unified expression. In my mind’s eye, I see it in the absolute darkness of space as a grid of starlight. Earth, air, fire, and water... we are one.
